Welcome to the Family Forge projects
The Family Forge is a registered charity based near Skelmersdale on the edge of the Merseyside Region. The Family Forge engages in the publishing of literature to assist the spread of Christian Family culture and all manner of activities to reach out to individuals to improve society through the education and development of the human person in a Christian integral way, valuing each person as made in the image and likeness of God. We respect whatever background an individual has come from and recognise that grace is built on nature and so seek to encourage improvement in all life skills.
Skelmersdale houses a share of the regions' allocation of asylum seekers and refugees. For this reason The Family Forge has worked locally with this group. This community includes people from many nationalities, cultures and religions. It includes families, and those married, also separated aswell as single men and women.
Integration and the adoption of Christian cultural norms such as the respectful treatment of others including women, contributing to the good of others, respect of law and order, striving to become self supporting, the promotion of monogamous marriage and healthy family life are important elements of our work thus supporting true integration, secure establishment and flourishing. We recognise that many have fled from genocide, war, persecution or other situations of forced migration.
We desire to establish a national family centre and continue to begin Christian lay initiatives that protect life and encourage healthy rich life experiences.
